Horrifying and unnerving, this movie is like a long dream that you'll never wanna forget. It sits with you in the pit of your stomach and will be all you think about for quite a while. I was thoroughly unnerved and wildly entertained by this movie and I hope to see it again soon. Maika Monroe is incendiary as Lee Harker as she takes you on this journey. Nic Cage's performance gets under your skin but leaves you unable to look away. Alicia Witt also eats up some scenes as well, giving a devastating performance. Blair Underwood is also a shining star in this movie, which is not mentioned in most of the critical reviews of this movie. He is genuinely the only warmth in this movie and he should get his flowers for this performance along with the rest of the cast. With amazing cinematography, performances, and a super well written script under the direction of Oz Perkins, this movie is everything you want and need from a horror thriller. This may possibly be the best film of 2024, not just the best horror film of 2024.
I've never played a game with such a well written story and such well tuned mechanics. It has a story that will automatically hook you in and several jaw dropping moments that will have you almost wondering what is reality and what is a dream! It screams Lynchian surrealism, wears its influences on its shoulders, but is a wholly unique experience that no other video game can come close to. Already one of my top 5 games of all times. Genuinely, if you love twin peaks and all things weird, this is for you. It's not weird for the sake of being weird, everything has a purpose. I cannot recommend this game enough. It can be a little buggy, but honestly the bugs are usually so small that it does not take away from the overall experience.
Genuinely funny and well written writing and crunchy melee combat equal to an amazing game. Such a good return to the series!
