This was a very timely show, and being around the same age as David I could relate to it completely. I would put in the same category with "Straightaway" which was a "teen" show back in the 60's. I guess because David's character was not a "teenie-bopper star" like the Partridges,it wasn't a big hit. I was disappointed when it was canceled because I thought there many plot points that could be addressed over the years. They did an episode on the California road racing scene, later featured in the movies "Mulholland Drive" and "The Fast and The Furious." They was the first episode I watched as was really blown away. Simon Oakland was great as his boss, much nicer than Darren McGavin's boss in "Night Stalker."

I'm sure very few people remember this show, but I do. I was six years old, and my brother was eleven and the 60's was when teenagers and cars ruled. We would hurry and scarf down our dinner so that we could watch every minute. One of my fondest memories, and Brian Kelly helped my transition into Flipper when it aired. I don't know if I can fill ten lines of text because it was so long ago, and only aired for one season. The plot lines were probably over the head of a 6 year old, I just remember the cars, and the racing, it was so cool. The actors seemed to be teens too, probably in their twenties, but they were current. That's probably why we were attracted to it, it was like watching kids from the neighborhood
