Well, I'm sorry... But I was bored from the beginning to the end. I was actually thinking about leaving quite a few times.
The story was messy and dry. The action was anticlimactic and not at all surprising. Poor actor performances...
What happened Mr. Mann? I mean, the TV-show was fairly funny with their pastels and corny humor... The movie had nothing but a tight face and took itself too serious - it was almost embarrassing.
The only good thing about this movie is Colin Farrell... And that's just because he's hot (besides that freaky beard and hair!) Sad but true.

This movie is hilarious!
The dude (aka el duderino aka the dudeness) is extraordinary. Jeff Bridges is absolutely perfect as the lazy, stoned and funny talking Dude.
And John Goodman, uh, if only I had a dollar for every memorable line he said. He's incredibly funny!
Steve Buscemi is, as always, excellent, I have so much respect for this man. In every movie he's been in, he's always been able to raise it to an extra level. He's brilliant.
Philip Seymour Hoffmann is just outstanding, one of the best actors out there. The roles he has chosen says it all.
Not to forget John Turturro as Jesus. Now that's magic! His moments in the movie are really HIS. He is so funny! In in contrast to The Dude it is hilarious!
AND the Germans!!! I love the Germans, and I love that Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers is one of them.
I could go on and on, but these and the rest of the cast are all part of an absolutely unique movie.
It's timeless comedy.

I was afraid of this movie. For a long time I feared that one day, Eminem WOULD make a movie - and that movie would suck!!!!
Along it came, and you know what? It didn't suck. Man, was I relieved.
I have never been able to put a finger on Mr. Mathers' rapping skills, I think his technique is amazing. His rhymes are sharp and intelligent and he always performs them with pure justification. But could he take this to the big screen? He succeeded. In his debut movie he managed to play it real and natural. He had good on screen chemistry with pretty much all the characters, but especially with Brittany Murphy (Uh, gotta love that sex scene... That was hot.)
The final battles in the movie, are the absolute climax. If you ever had any doubts about Eminmems talents - one way or the other - you definitely know his worth now!
So 8/10

- Some might say that it must be easy to play yourself, and it's not a secret that this movie is somewhat autobiographic. But it sure takes guts to put yourself out there like that, well done.
So 8/10
