I have loved this show for over a decade. I haven't been a fan of all the changes. If you can find early seasons, I encourage you to watch them. I think as the seasons went on, either the producers got bored or perhaps the budget shrank. I can still remember watching an episode with a fake bed scene & I'm pretty sure it was Twitch & Allison. This wasn't a finale, but was very powerful episode. They both have had successful careers following the show. In fact in the last few seasons Allison has returned as a judge.
It makes me wonder if I could have competed with them, if not for my misspent youth riding my bike & dating.

If you're a huge fan of film noir, you might like this. If, like me, you have a few favorite noir film, but generally it's take it or leave it; this is most likely one you want to leave. Certainly not a "bad" film, but not the best movie. If you're streaming it, I'd say go for it. If you're thinking of taking it in at a midnight movie screening, either fortify yourself with caffeine or bring a pillow. Personally, one of my pet peeves is paying the overpriced ticket charge and finding I can't stay awake long enough to make it through the movie. I know I haven't brought any deep insights into your decision to watch or to pass on this movie, but I hope this helps. BTW, John Travolta still has that certain quality, even in this one.
I love this show! It does start to unravel in the final years. I liked it so much, I went out and bought the book. There is little to no detail about anything in the book.
I think Mack might be my favorite soldier, but on any given day, I might choose Bob.
While the show is not in your face patriotic, it is obvious from the skills of the characters, their common low pay from the military and their dedication to the missions, these men and their wives are indeed patriotic.
I have a son who is a veteran of Iraq & Afghanistan. I was both shocked and upset when I saw how little the military was paying him.
