As a massive Marvel fan, I was hesitant to watch this based on all the bad reviews and critics. Well I'm glad I finally watched it cos I thought it was great. I wish it was a bit longer to fill in some plot holes but overall I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I really don't get all the hate for Leto, he embodied Morbius amazingly and was fantastic. The CGI was fantastic, the character transformations were incredible. The only fault I could find is that it was a bit too fast paced but if it was slower people would still complain.
This is a movie for entertainment and if you're going to watch a movie and analyse all the faults, then you're doing yourself a disservice.

This movie reminds me of the old Yakuza movie from 1974. Great insight into the Yakuza world and Japanese culture. The setting and mood was perfect. Not for everyone's taste but a nice movie nonetheless.
I love that most of the movie was in Japanese, and Jared Leto did a great job as the 'outsider', a very intense character. Authentic casting. It's a film noire type, loved the pacing, the limited dialogue and intensity. No senseless killing. It's a movie about honour and family.
Not sure why all the negative reviews, I enjoyed it. If you dislike it because of Leto, then you're missing out cos he's a great actor.

I really enjoyed this movie, watched it twice. Troye Sivan was incredible as Caleb! I love the powerful message it contains that life is what we make of it and no matter what, he's going to be ok. It's all about love, friendship and hope.
I hope this movie, screen play and Troye get nominated for awards cos they all deserve it so much! With an industry full of commercial blockbusters, small independent movies like this bring me the most joy to watch.
