Being a books and film Sci fi fan, I realised this series would be generally based around the game, which I knew nothing about. Did some research and found this comment .. 'Executive Producer Kiki Wolfkill announced that the series will not be part of the franchises canon.
"We're referring to this as the Halo Silver Timeline as a way of differentiating it from core canon," Wolfkill said. "In both protecting core canon and protecting the television story, and by that I mean being able to give ourselves the chance to evolve both and for both to be what they need to be for their mediums without colliding with each other." ' So I will just say that I enjoyed the first season in setting up the storylines and character introductions and am very much looking forward to the next season. Maybe the gamers could chill upon it as an alternative timeline/universe?

The movie was ok. Blythe and John are engaging in their characters and the end was a giggle. As an Aussie, I'd love to know who's wicked sense of humour put two rows of Vegemite in his shed.
London to Newcastle in the 80's! They nailed it well .. seriously there were a lot more 'over the top' characters around back then anyway, including 'larrikin' females. The show is irreverent, brash and hilarious with some depth and empathy in there too. Kudos to the cast, writer and director for a very funny and entertaining season, hope there's more to come.
