The whole move just felt awkward to me. It had its moments (mainly when things crashed or blew up) and my 14 year old really liked it, so not all bad.
The Fall Guy tries to find the balance between an action movie and a romcom but ends up being neither. None of the jokes land and the dialogue between the two main characters is tedious and goes on far too long, making it feel really awkward.
I enjoyed watching The Fall Guy on TV when I was a child, it's a fun premise, but this movie didn't really do it justice.
If you want a brilliant movie about stuntmen, go and watch Burt Reynolds in Hooper.
