“Eddington” (2025)
“Eddington,” the fourth feature from director Ari Aster, is a divisive neo-Western that tackles modern political divides via a story of a small New Mexico town torn apart by the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protest. Count Scorsese as a fan of Aster’s take on the film: in a New York Times profile of Aster, Scorsese spoke about his admiration for the film’s hot-button political content.
““Eddington’ dives right into the side of American life that many people can’t bear to look at or even acknowledge — no one wants to listen to anyone else, which is frightening,” Scorsese said.
