From Bull Moose's FAQ page: "Please note: Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee slipcovers with New or Pre-owned items" Again, if a slipcover is important enough for you, just order from SF in the window when they guarantee them. Problem solved. |

The new shipping policy is already in use. I got my 4K copies of the 2 Sleepaway titles today and they were in a box and not the mailer they usually send for 1 or 2 titles. I want to remain positive about it, but I unfortunately have to mention that there was no padding or bubble wrap in the box. Both titles were loose. They look fine, but the slips do have some dings. Overall, it's a step in the right direction, but buyer beware still.

I believe the "scratch issue" is a common one with many labels and there is only one (2?) replicator plants used by US companies. I know it is common for people to say Shout is the worst offender, but I am not sure how much pull Shout (or anyone) has a say in this issue. With physical media dwindling (though thankfully slowly), I highly doubt that new replicator plants will be created. Perhaps if enough labels put pressure on the plant to upgrade/fix their equipment, maybe something might happen. Though I question if there is enough of a business case for the plant to do this.
I have been lucky with getting scratch-free discs, but I understand this is now pretty much luck of the draw. At least in the US. the UK uses a different plant, I believe, which has not the same history of issues. Just my perspective. |

As a collector who has no problem returning damaged product, I applaud Scream on this issue! I hate bubble mailers with a passion! If a slip is included good chance the item is fine, without it they are all dinged up. I cannot stand creases all over the cover art of Boxsets dented all to hell. As a fluke I received the Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman boxsets from shout in a box and neither had an ounce of damage on them! I was thrilled. I have b!tched about this for years with them and they were the only boutique that uses bubble mailers.
Good move Scream, my hat of off to you! Now if they would quit sending rewraps out during sales. |

With one of my big VS orders, the Ring captured the USPS guy literally throwing my package onto my steps. Luckily nothing damaged thanks to the way they package. Hell I think there might have even been a hole in that one as well. I saved the Ring video for laughs.

VS has the right idea, but they really should leave more space between the product and the box. They pack the items too snug. The single layer of bubble wrap won't be much protection from crush should the box be mishandled by the shipper, which, in many cases, they are. Take a cue from Lionsgate Limited instead.
