Very faithful and beautiful transfer for a classic. I can't believe this did not get an atmos track but the sound is still fantastic. I had not seen the theatrical version for a long time but after rewatching I would say I definitely prefer this cut

Same I was surprised how much more directly it flowed. And also surprised how many scenes I was used to were only in the extended version. Definitely prefer the theatrical however I do wish the rich guy and his dogs were in it. That was such a good and devastating contrast to his rise and fall.

I decided to get the UCE after putting a typical Warner UCE slipcase up against a Warner DigiBook and realizing they are the same height. Might just get the UCE for Amadeus and keep the two separate rather than using the DigiBook to house the UHD. The booklets are redundant, however.

I agree, after watching this cut there are a lot of scenes in the extended version that just went on for too long in my opinion. This one is paced much better

This is a terrific restoration!

It's beautifully filmic and clearly done with much love and care for the source material.

Bravo to Paul Zaentz and everyone involved with this release. More such presentations, please!
