So @noma has this idea of a punching ball with Putin's face (or choose Orban, Fico, Trump etc.) and one punch costs 5€ which is directed to projects in #Ukraine. I think this should be done with a web game or a simple app.

Is there somebody capable and willing to step in? @stux maybe? That would be awesome.

Please spread and ask around!

Nope, all terrorists should be eliminated. Regardless of they are chechens, #ISIS or #nazi #banderites
in reply to Tocarra

This generalization is insane. It‘s stupid, too. I agree to hunting down faschists and terrorists, to be clear. But you have to respect ordinary Georgians, Syrians, who are a majority in their countries, likely even Chechens.

Yeah, it's stupid for you to generalize. No issues with ordinary people

@gimulnautti That'd be awesome!

@stux Yes, you punch "axis-of-evil" faces related to the war in Ukraine and every punch wins a small amount of money donated to a charity involved in Ukraine.

I reached out by email to help99.co and the 69th Sniffing Brigade who unfortunately have no presence on Mastodon but hopefully they make up their mind.

Would be really great if this obvious demand (PunchForUkraine) could be satisfied. Please let me know of your ideas.

@gimulnautti I have to admit that my original thought was purely analogue. Some characters make me so angry that I'd like to punch them in the face, which of course isn't possible. So I thought of something like at the fair, where you can hit a leather block and get points. And you can let off steam in the process. You have to pay for it beforehand.

I then looked online to see if there were any simple punching balls with the heads of creeps on them, but all I found was this little game: punch-putin.com/ It's quite nice, but I can't get any momentum with the trackball. And the face remains motionless.

I was dreaming of a stand with heads made of vegan (!) leather that people could hit for a reasonable fee, with the net proceeds going to good projects in Ukraine, especially for defence. I like ukrdef's idea of realising this as a (somewhat more appealing) game, including help99.co as a donation target. You got me to buy patches there, I'm sure you'll bring them to Mastodon too!

@gimulnautti
I have an answer from help99. They "can give a stripe api to integrate". Do the programmers reading this know how to handle that? I'd have no clue, I have to admit.

The #PunchPutin game is nice and actually quite what I was thinking of, though without punching ball, without choosing character and without directly connected donation. But it's a good example of how this could work.

What do you think, @gimulnautti and @stux

in reply to Defending Ukraine

The hardware version for fairs and festivals is an absolutely marvellous idea, though, maybe someone with appropriate skills reading this? Or could you create that yourself, @noma ?

@gimulnautti
If I would be able to create this, it would be reality! Also with the head of #OlafScholz for to wake him up. :smilie_flower_girl_laughing:
in reply to MS noma

Lol, Scholz will be history in a couple of weeks, I guess, and should you really punch someone already on the ground?
On the other hand. I would not stop in case of Putin.
in reply to Defending Ukraine

Hmm, Scholz will not be history, he is back in the new governing coalition and such things never go down.

Thanks again for the tip with #help99, I bought a drone yesterday. I hope that a good drone operator will guide it to the target.

Thanks a lot 🙏
I suppose a former chancellor or prime minister is never likely to do a subordinate job in a new government, except for Stoltenberg.
in reply to Defending Ukraine

But he didn't do an outstanding job. Neither as mayor of Hamburg - see his roles in the cum-ex transactions of Warburg Bank and in the construction of Hamburg's ‘Elbtower’, to name just two things. As chancellor, he came across as a hesitant and procrastinator in the Russian war against Ukraine instead of taking on a leadership role. So I am sure that this guy will continue to bumble around like this.
in reply to MS noma

Interesting point. You mean if all those billions get approved he could try to be the guy taking care of the financial department as before? If I was his party I would try to sideline him, if I was Merz even more, otherwise you‘d have to explain all the time why now things run well that you criticized during Scholz‘ ruling.
in reply to Defending Ukraine

I hope, that he will be sidelined. In my opinion, he is unfit for a job that benefits the general public.

Merz is not my chancellor because I am against fascism and in favour of environmental and climate protection. Shortly before his election, he declared that he wouldn't do politics for people like me.

in reply to Charlie

@charlie How did you do that technically that the StopPutin hashtag remains invisible? It must be there because it‘s him committing a genocide of the Ukrainian people.
in reply to Charlie

@charlie @gimulnautti The reason that so many people have lost their lives and that so much suffering and destruction has befallen #Ukraine lies solely with Putin. So the correct words should be #stoprussia and #stopputin.
