The problem

Besides #2724, the bulk of that document is 3-4 years old, a big part of it pre-Christmas release.

Suggestions

It would benefit from using =head instead of =item (see #2483), but as someone is doing it, revising the text and what it says (about perl 5 and 6 alike) would be helpful.
