hm. I'm having trouble reproducing this (it's not hard to believe something's broken in settings though!). @jshelman if you're comfortable telling me, which provider are you using, and do you have multiple profiles? |

this was observed in Code OSS inside GCP Cloud workstation. using the default profile. we (multiple of my users we're piloting Roo in this environment) have the issue and so far haven't been able to find a work around other than rolling back 3.15.5 |

I just experienced this same issue, but after about an hour of continuing anyway, the problem disappeared. This is very strange indeed! |

Actually, i updated to 3.17.2 and so far haven't been able to duplicate the bug. validating with another colleague. |

Looks like what ever it was that was causing this in 3.16.x, it seemed to have resolved itself in the lastest 3.17.2 version. I think we can close this - appreciate the team looking into it. |

Unfortunately this bug / behavior showed back up in 3.18.0 . i don't have permissions to reopen the bug. |

model updates, but name does not update in the display. and if you select it again, it will revert to what is displayed (claude-3-7-sonnet-20250219)
Reverting to 3.15.5 and everything works as expected.
