Installing 'boinc' (8.2.1) [64bit] from 'extras' bucket
Loading boinc_8.2.1_windows_x86_64.exe from cache
Running installer script...ERROR Exit code was 1619!
Failed to extract files from C:\Users\pbach\scoop\apps\boinc\8.2.1\dl_u\BOINC.msi.
Log file:
~\scoop\apps\boinc\8.2.1\dl_u\msi.log

The log file mentioned above is empty.

This is usually caused by a msiexec process exception, go one of them:

  • Restart the PC then retry.
  • Switch to alternative MSI extractor: scoop config use_lessmsi true (Default: false)
  • Resolve the msiexec exception then retry, If you know about it.
