Would be great as an option, at least for singleplayer, to be able to disable, resize, or choose a custom image for the crosshairs.

You can do this by switching out the cross-hair bitmaps in the tags and rebuilding the map, and/or you could apply this to most maps by making a custom bitmaps.map with invader.
