I can't see any images when editing index.md in my markdown editor (VSCode) because the images are in the images/ subdirectory. We should either move all of the images up a level or add a images/ prefix to the paths in the markdown file.

@kduske any preference between the two choices? (get rid of the images/ subdirectory, or add a images/ prefix to the paths in the markdown file)
