Refactoring ideas

I would like to propose the following ideas to make this repository better:

consolidate inband and outband interface
- this way we can write a much simpler and complete CLI client
- return not supported error when something does not work on either
implement a default implementation that should work for all vendors, use specific implementations of a vendor only if necessary
- this way we can at least target towards wider vendor support
