Hi @neicker , this is an excellent work and pretty much unknown to the public. You have carefully stripped down the crap from Brother's libsane driver, which is very valuable, as their own Linux support is pathetic. One essential part to make your driver even more useful is to add a cross-platform replacement of brscandec. In my fork I've lifted brscandec assembly for educational purposes, which still needs a lot of polishing. I understand you are now doing mostly cluster tools, but maybe you'd want to look again into this and join our efforts to complete the brscan implementation: https://github.com/dmikushin/brscan
