Call to Arms - Alterac Valley is killing PvP #8012

I was really saddened by reading this suggestion. I think it's a terrible thing to do. Alterac Valley is a fundamental and unique part of this game. Most people remember this place fondly. AV Call to Arms only happens once every 6 weeks so it's only 4 days out of 42 days. In only 4 days people have the chance to enjoy some AV action and maybe get some achievements. Beyond that, AV battles must be preserved because they are the sign that Chromie's heart is still beating, I mean it shows the server is not (totally) dead. You want to kill it for what, more WSG and AB because you can't get enough of them in the 38 days? The problem is, Ksenia, I don't even see you in most WSG's and AB's. I don't see you on the monthly PvP list either. For some reason you are suggesting the devs should kill an important part of the game for the sake of more AB's you won't even join. |

tldr: Remove AV from the CTA rotation. Please.
Hello,
Based on a review of recent CTA events, it is noticeable that PvP activity, especially in the battlegrounds, declines massively when AV is the CTA event. If only the BG event is considered, this is in massive contrast to BGs such as WSG & AB, as can be seen from the graphs. If we look at the number of all BGs, the number of BGs at the weekend is halved when AV is the CTA event.
In my view, this is partly due to the number of players required for AV. This is not possible with the current population of the server. In my opinion, AV should therefore be removed from the rotation of CTA events as long as the player pool does not allow it. So that we can maximise the fun and gaming experience for the PvP community, especially at the weekend.
Kind regards
