Is it possible, that CompanionApp used in TOR Browser can use the TOR-network connection of the TOR Browser for better anonymous download support?
I tested it for a few weeks with Wirehark. If VideoDownloadHelper needs the CoApp for a download request in TOR Browser, CoApp don't use the (anonymous) TOR network. Instead, CoApp is using just a normal non-anonymous network connection which can be seen from the ISP. I guess CoApp is an own process outside of TOR Browser.
Yes, TOR Project gives a recommendation, not watching or downloading video streams due to more network traffic on TOR network circuits. But there are too much data collection and personal profiling mechasimen in the Internet (on Webservices).
VPN solutions aren't in my focus. VPN-Provider are able, collecting personal data while surfing in the Internet.
