I have several unofficial repositories in pacman.conf that contain packages from AUR (archlinuxcn, chaotic-aur, etc.). Some of these packages are updated with a significant delay. I want pikaur to be able to check for updates for these packages and offer a build from AUR if a newer version is available.
I also noticed that pikaur suggests to install the older version if a repository higher in the list in pacman.conf has an older version than the next one. I know that's because of pacman. I left a request on the project's GitLab. They replied that this is for security reasons and they will not change it. Is it possible to implement this on the pikaur side? Maybe not the actual install or update, but at least a notification that a newer version is available in the name repository. I don't think it's necessary by default, but it would be great to have it as a command line option.

yeah, overriding pacman behavior doesn't fit the vibe of the project but just an optional warning you could add indeed, in a similar way the warning works for notifying about stable version packages' updates
