Description
For cases where the generated signal is looped back, through any circuit under test, to the oscilloscope, it would be handy to trigger on the signal generator's period, no matter how the actual signal looks.
Like using the external trigger connection between a bench scope and signal generator.
With Trigger Settings, Digital, it is already possible to trigger on the logic analyzer, which can be triggered on the pattern generator. Generating a pattern clock with the same frequency as the signal generator provides a stable trace, but with undefined phase relation (and is way too cumbersome to set up).
A trigger output option for the signal generator would be the 2nd best solution :-)
