Hello!

I'm wondering if there's a reason why this project is using specific tags for each architecture instead of relaying on the multiarch capabilities of docker.

I like to have multiple tags so I can have an overview over the most popular ones. Maybe in the future I will use this feature and make the latest tag fit all the architecture. There is however no plan to drop the other tag names since it would break compatibility with existing systems.

I was thinking more in adding tags more than dropping the existing ones, like:

  • <version tag> including all the architectures
  • latest with latest version and all the architectures
    along with the existing <architecture>-<version tag> and <architecture>

It would simplify deployments for end users but since you're using them to see architecture popularity I guess it makes no sense for you.
