What is the idea ?

Currently you need to manually run 2 tasks in a play in order to do this. It would be nice if you could just enable an ara option to do it anyway.

Hi and thanks for the issue @Hipska.

ara_record was in fact created as a reply to this exact use case (many, many years ago now) which opened to door for users to record anything they like in a generic way instead.

ara does not look or consider git at this time and I would rather keep it this way.

I understand why it might be bothersome to do it manually but keeping things like this outside of ara when there are other solutions helps keep it simple as a tradeoff.

What I tend to do is to have a playbook (or a tasks file) that takes care of this and then include that playbook in other playbooks as necessary. It can be an imported role as well.

It remains a bit manual but importing it from a single place makes it more convenient.

Okay, maybe have these tasks as a role in the ara collection then?
