💭 Description

Due to the inability to use official SMS service providers in my region, do I want to use Alibaba Cloud to send SMS, or is there any way for me to write my own code for sending SMS, using triggers or something?

Tasks

  • Add an adapter in utopia-php/messaging
  • Add create and update endpoints in Appwrite
  • Update the worker in Appwrite to include the new provider
  • Update the Console to include the new provider

👀 Have you spent some time to check if this issue has been raised before?

  • I checked and didn't find similar issue

To add a new provider, they would need to be:

  1. Added to utopia-php/messaging
  2. Added to appwrite

That said, there are big changes with messaging coming soon so trying to add a new adapter to messaging would lead to conflicts and rewrite so it's best to hold off for now.

Can the nodejs code on the server be used to issue a one-time login certificate for users?

My region generally does not like email login methods

Alibaba Cloud is one of most biggest cloud service provider in China even Asia, hope could support soon.
