You can use any other MCP servers, eg the servers referenced at https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/servers by adding the server's command and args into the server_config.json's map_server_commands array. For most mcp servers, these commands and args can be found in their Claude desktop configuration docs.
You'll also need install the additional mcp servers locally. This is map-server specific installation (read the docs for the server you want to add) which typically uses npx or uv/pip install to get the actual server code installed locally.
