Why? The quality doesn't visibly suffer much, but in a test, the file compression went from 4% to 60% in my first test.
Considerin users are using an image compressor, I imagine this is closer to the sweet spot of what most people are looking for: A slight visible change in quality for big gains in file size.
It's a more impression first impression to show a big compression ratio. 😉
