CometBFT history
CometBFT (or simply “Comet”) is a Byzantine fault-tolerant engine for state machine replication. The long-term vision for CometBFT is to be the primary choice of replication engine for reliable, secure, large-scale, application-specific blockchains. Comet aims to serve as the backbone for the Interchain.
We'll use this section of the discussion to track major announcements related to CometBFT [WIP].
