С версии 1.х и до 3.х неясно, как работает, и работает ли вообще настройка "Путь для файл-менеджера:", заданная у менеджерских юзеров. В 1.4.х удалось добиться, чтобы файл-менеджер открывал только указанную папку. При этом её надо указывать полностью, от /home/. Хотя вроде просится аналогия с уже имеющимся [base_dir], как в других полях. В 3.х не завелась, и открываются везде и всем папки в корне.

Также в обоих версиях эта директива не оказывает никакого влияния на kcfinder, хотя, по логике, если мы разрешаем лазать только в одном месте, то надо это делать везде.
