Pick up interface vs. instance, discuss how to pursue this further and who's doing that
Continue on producer & consumer API

Decision: Instance specifiers are a runtime/adapter independent entities and as such a base type of the API
We need to align on a common way how to design error types
try_receive -> GetNewSamples (C++ API change / alignment)
Decide which signature we use for the async API for consumers (also read on the async fn trait)
