Describe the bug
I'm trying to determine whether my desired behaviour is (a) intended or (b) possible with vertico+citar+org-cite. I would like to have separate key bindings for the following three actions:
add a candidate to the final result (currentlycachievedby pressing o TAB and, most of the time, RET)
exit the selection interface, inserting whatever is in the vertico result line into the buffer (currently achieved by pressing M-RET)
select the candidate at point and immediately exit minbuffer and insert in buffer (currently not achievable)
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
activate org-cite-insert with Cc b
enter a search term and select desired candidate with arrow keys
attempt to select-and-exit by just pressint RET
note that despite being bound to -vertico-exit, RET simply inserts a candidate rather than exiting
Expected behavior
I hoped that RET would insert the key and then exit the multi-select process
Screenshots
If the aboe isn't clear please ask nd I will try to get some good ones.
Emacs version:
30.1
Additional context
Again, not sure if htis is bug or just my own misunderstnading of what is supposed to happen.
