gtkwave: symbol lookup error: /snap/core20/current/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libpthread.so.0: undefined symbol: __libc_pthread_init, version GLIBC_PRIVATE

Using Ubuntu 24.10. I tried running GTKWave from the terminal and I got this error. I am not able to load gtkwave from the terminal.

This issue has come up before in #413, but I'm still not sure what caused it. Are you running GTKWave from a regular terminal application or from an terminal inside an IDE like VSCode?

If you are running GTKWave from inside VSCode, which has been installed via Snap, this might be relevant: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1462295/ubuntu-22-04-both-eye-of-gnome-and-gimp-failing-with-undefined-symbol-error/1462494#1462494
