  • I confirm there are no other open issues about this asset
  • I understand that to actually add the asset to Haveno, a PR from the developers/community of the proposed asset might be necessary
  • I understand that adding the asset is at discretion of the Haveno Core Team and applying doesn't necessarily imply acceptance

What's the ticker symbol of the project?

GRIN

Why should it be added to Haveno? How would it benefit the project and the community?

Grin has a lot in common with Monero. It is one of the few non-scam coins out there. It has a good community all around the world. Excellent proof of work mining economy. Just needs more liquidity (on and off ramps) and Haveno could benefit from that influx.

Is it an Ethereum token (ERC-20)?

  • Yes
  • No

Was the coin pre-mined before public launch?

  • Yes
  • No

Is there a dev fee for the project maintainers?

  • Yes
  • No

Please provide resources about the project (Website, Twitter, etc)

Social media is decentralized across a number of accounts. The main website is https://grin.mw/

Grin was/is just a 'proof of concept' for the Mimblewimble white paper.
Grin was delisted from Bisq years ago due to inactivity. Nobody has reactivated it for 30 BSQ. This shows that nobody is interested in it. The coin is not used seriously anywhere. I don't see any point in activating the coin in Haveno.
MWEB & Grin ++, developer has moved to the Litecoin Foundation.

Grin users have just used centralized exchanges like TradeOgre for convenience. Monero users also still favor centralized exchanges, so I don't see why that would be a measure of anything.

You can count on one hand the amount of coins that are not scams. Grin is one of them. To me, that in itself is vastly more important than usage. Why? Because you can count on just a few fingers the amount of coins that are "used seriously" anywhere.

Grin is still one of the best deals in mining. When you combine that with the strong principles, it's a great project.

Yes, a creator of a wallet ( @DavidBurkett ) has started working for Litecoin. What does that mean?

Grin & Beam is dead

Why would Beam be discussed in concert with Grin? At this point, they're nothing alike. The initial designs aren't even very similar.

Mimblewimble on it's own is not special. You can have a scam token that uses mimblewimble. I refer you back to the "Grin No List" above.

Grin is the original MimbleWimble implementation. Rest is copycat or forks based on grin developers work with premined or dev tax, instamine projects.

If haveno is really a DEX, Grin will fit in.
