Bug report

Describe your environment

  • Device: n/a
  • OS name and version: 18.4
  • IVPN app version: 2.12.5 (5)

Describe the problem

When "Home Screen & App Library tinting" is enabled on iOS, the IVPN widget background turns entirely white with no visible text, icon, or content. This issue occurs specifically when using the system tinting feature introduced in iOS 17 under wallpaper customization settings.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Long-press on the iPhone Lock Screen and tap Customize.
  2. Select the Home Screen.
  3. Enable Tint as the appearance style.
  4. Return to the Home Screen and observe the IVPN widget.

Observed Results:

The widget background is fully white with no content displayed (see screenshot).

Expected Results:

The IVPN widget should maintain proper contrast and visibility when Home Screen tinting is active, adapting as needed to ensure content remains legible.

I was able to reproduce the issue on iOS 18.5 by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Home Screen.
  2. Touch and hold the Home Screen background until the icons begin to jiggle.
  3. Tap Edit at the top of the screen, then choose Customize.
  4. Tap Tinted.
  5. Observe the issue in the the IVPN widget.
