Awesome-CV is, well, awesome but there are many modifications that I'd like to see merged from their open PRs:
- Fix \cvsubentry not compiling while description had any content. posquit0/Awesome-CV#524
- Updated to use Font Awesome 6 posquit0/Awesome-CV#418
- Add 20 extra Awesome colors grouped by color family. posquit0/Awesome-CV#398
- Quality-of-life improvements posquit0/Awesome-CV#315
- Fix cvsubentry posquit0/Awesome-CV#314
- Fix issue where copying bullets from the resulting pdf results in text with no whitespace and add
cvsubitemsposquit0/Awesome-CV#525 - Add FontAwesome icons to section headings posquit0/Awesome-CV#487
- Adding multiple \cventry to Education causes "Overfull \hbox" and breaks formatting posquit0/Awesome-CV#266
Rather that maintain patches as is currently done, there's enough here to merit forking the LaTeX class outright.
Tangentially, there is no more need for submodules once this is done.
