encountered nonexistent topic when Kafka restarts

I am encountering the below exception whenever Kafka restarts
"Consumer group #{group_name} encountered nonexistent topic #{topic}"
Any suggestions on how to handle when Kafka restarts?

Below is the environment:
Windows 10
Erlang/OTP 24 [erts-12.0] [source] [64-bit] [smp:8:8] [ds:8:8:10] [async-threads:1] [jit]
Elixir 1.13.0 (compiled with Erlang/OTP 22)
