Would it be possible to release a wheel on PyPI for aarch64? I am using a DevContainer on a M1 mac and Docker virtualizes arm64 to aarch64. The installation of kahypar fails, since neither a binary aarch64 nor a source distributions are available on PyPI.

Hey @robertodr, thanks for reaching out. I'll have to check whether this is possible using cibuildwheel, which we use to generate wheels for MacOS.

One thing you could try to unblock yourself in the meantime would be to try to install the python package manually by following the instructions outlined here: https://github.com/kahypar/kahypar#the-python-interface

It builds fine on aarch64 following the instructions. cibuildwheel supports aarch64 for Linux through QEMU, though I haven't tried it myself.

Thanks for confirming and for the pointer. If I find some time to spare in the next couple of weeks, I can take a look at creating wheels for aarch64.
