Search behaviour scrolls instead of updating on same line.

Repro

  • Invoke tbmk using Ctrl Space
  • notice immediately that 'TBMK - Search:' appears twice.
  • Start typing
  • notice each keystroke causes the 'TBMK - Search:' to appear on a new line rather than replacing/updating the current search line.
  • notice also the phrase TTBMK or TBMK or BMK starts the line.

I am using the regular Mac terminal

@abulka thank for the report.
Please provide more info:

  • Which shell and the version. echo $SHELL

Okay I can see it's Zsh in the image

Unfortunately, I don't have a Mac here. I'll try to investigate

@abulka why the 2 images are different? Are they different terminal?

/bin/zsh

The different colour terminals are just Mac terminal's preference profiles/themes:

Is there any way to downgrade to an earlier version of tbmk, as it is essentially broken on Mac due to this issue - I can't see what I'm doing as text overwrites other text.

Or is there anything I can do to help fix this - obviously I have a Mac. Perhaps I can capture the escape characters that are being emitted to the terminal - though I'm not sure how to do this as hitting CMD SPACE to trigger tbmk means I can't pipe the output into anything like a file to send you.

Hi @abulka , could you try to override the execution file from this version https://github.com/linhx/tbmk/releases/tag/1.0.2?

Actually, tbmk is using github.com/charmbracelet/bubbletea for rendering views.
It seems an issue of bubbletea, because of the difference behavior between Mac and Linux. I haven't found a workaround.
