Description

@jackybek
  1. I used the following kernel (Windows 11 running Oracle virtual box -> installed Debian Bookworm):

Linux bookworm 6.1.0-37-amd64
#1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC
Debian 6.1.140-1 (2025-05-22)
X86_64 GNU/Linux

to develop my application.

When trying to compile my code, I get this error:

#error PTPD hasn’t been ported to this OS - should be possible if it’s POSIX compatible.

Since Debian bookworm is POSIX, please advise how to resolve this error.

  1. I also intend to port my program to the following kernel:

PREEMPT RT kernel raspbian bookworm aarch64

Please advise if PTPD can run on this kernel.

Thanks.
Jacky
