Hello I am facing the same issue on windows 10 without WSL. @KilledWithStyle did you find the solution ?
|
Sort of... If you really want to use this, I got it to work using git bash using the command I was using in powershell. (it still had the issue of being EXTREMELY SLOW that WSL had) But I hate git bash. You can get WSL working in windows 10 IIRC if that route seems like it would work. The issue with it not running like yours was entirely powershell. Between it still being slow, not working in powershell, nobody answering my problem, and other reasons, I fixed it by using an alternative bit of kit that would probably be rude of me to post here to say "use this thing instead". Good luck. |
Thanks for your feedback. |
So I have a problem with WSL2 and Windows 11 trying to get this to work correctly.
I want to first state that the tablet streaming working through the aplication won't work for me as it refuses to be picked up by OBS, so that isn't a solution. That is why I found this.
I can get restream to work with the WSL2 (windows subsystem for linux) shell. It works just fine for 10 to 50 seconds then becomes so laggy that the drawing sometimes shows up a minute to 5 minutes later.
I went through the process of installing the git bash shell to have it work through that. No go. The window pops up showing just the usual ouput but with no data being transferred.

I even found a tutorial to just run the command through PowerShell. Still didn't work. (although that one just is blank)

Both tools listed in the guide are in the windows path. I even tried the direct command using the tools in the folder (if you replace ffplay with ./ffplay in powershell, for example)
Any ideas about what the next steps to take are?
