Description
Preferred term label
Potentiostatic Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy
Synonyms or alternative term labels
potentiostatic EIS, PEIS, impedance spectroscopy with constant applied potential
Textual definition
A spectroscopy technique where the change in impedance (the resistance to alternating current) of an electrochemical cell is measured while maintaining a constant applied potential. The impedance is determined over a range of frequencies by analyzing the voltage-to-current ratio and the phase shift of the AC response.
