[BUG] variable sunrise-other-directory doesn't update (Mac OS)

Emacs version: 28.1 (build 2, x86_64-apple-darwin20.6.0, NS appkit-2022.60 Version 11.6.5 (Build 20G527))

When I try to copy or move files, SR always offers the $HOME directory, regardless of the state of the other pane. I evaluated the respective variables (sunrise-this-directory, sunrise-other-directory), and the latter never changes. I am not an elisp hacker, but I try to get more info if someone can give me a clue.
