This is a quick QC scan after the recent feature additions to see what we've still got to do. I'll break these out into separate issues if they need it.

Homepage

  • in admin view, the search bar pushed the icons into a new header row
  • projects should show tags beneath them
  • it's not clear how to filter the projects
  • should we have a message saying we're in open beta, but if you sign up we'll keep you posted?

Projects

  • there's a big gap between the status progress bar and the start of the description
  • tags are too large
  • very long tag lists look silly - we should only show the first, say, 10 tags and have an expansion button to see the rest
  • if there are no tags, it should either say 'no tags' or hide the 'Tags' heading
  • if the tasks list is empty, it should say 'no tasks'. at the moment it is just blank, which makes it appear broken
  • project headers look like alerts (because they are!) - we should be styling them appropriately for their content
  • it should be possible to either reply to specific comments or +mention users so they can get notified when there's a response
  • the project editor seems to have broken in a recent commit - it populates with the template content instead of the actual project description

User profiles

  • there should be a list of offers and tasks
  • contributions should be reverse date order
  • the organisation field doesn't do anything
  • there should be some confirmation when a change is made - at the moment it's not clear whether a change has been saved
  • we should default users to having email notifications, so they know they exist
  • gravatar is still not working for all users (though it's much better than it was). It should show the blue gravatar circle if the user doesn't have an image uploaded, but it's blank for some, e.g. https://solvers.io/profile/YDKSzzdexGEs95DJB

General

  • I really feel like we should have a community place to hang out. A chat room would be ideal I think, and it would be great if it could integrate with the site rather than be an external thing. I would prefer this to happen sooner rather than later as it will crystalise the community early on.
  • Vanity URLs for users and projects? The current URLs are not memorable
