Some issues with the search box:

there's no useful feedback if the search term isn't found
you can only search using autocompleted tags (we should perform text search of project titles and descriptions if no tags tokens are used. if both are used we should search text of projects with those tags)

Agreed!

To expand on the 2nd point: we should sort so hits on project titles appear first, then hits in project descriptions.
