Hi, I'm Miguel Hernández! Originally from Tenerife, Spain, I'm now a DevOps Engineer based in Leicester, UK.

Professionally, my world revolves around cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and building scalable and resilient systems. As I often say, I enjoy working with technologies like Containers (Docker, Kubernetes), Terraform, and Go. My goal is to automate everything I can!

What I Do & Share

Beyond my professional work, I dedicate a significant amount of my time to the open-source community, sharing knowledge, and exploring my passion for technology:

  • Building Practical Tools: I create and maintain open-source projects to solve real-world problems and simplify tasks. Some examples include TPM (Terraform Provider Manager), a CLI to manage Terraform providers; Karakeepbot, a Telegram Bot for saving bookmarks to Karakeep; cann, a serverless app that sends Telegram notifications for substitute teacher announcements from the Canary Islands Government.
  • Sharing What I Learn: I believe in learning in public and frequently share my discoveries, quick tips, and solutions through my "Today I Learned" (TIL) notes, which you can find at mhdez.com/notes/. I also occasionally write more in-depth articles on my blog.
  • Exploring Self-Hosting & Infrastructure Automation: I have a keen interest in self-hosting various services and meticulously automating their infrastructure. This passion is evident in projects like my Homelab setup, my collection of Ansible playbooks, and more infrastructure configurations using Cloudflare.
