I’m Jorge Cadena, Houston resident and actual member of the climate action plan (CAP).

My project is to make community gardens around the city 🏙 with an app to generate data on harvest, events and tips to maintain a healthy garden.

Community gardens are intended to work with students and public events in a 100% sustainable environment.

I’m actually working in the design of this community gardens and present my ideas to City of Houston team.

A design for this app can be found on Community garden with Adobe XD, is continuously adding skills for design on free times and get accepted on Lone Star College with computer science to develop this app for organic food and data on real time for school’s food pantry.

The benefits from students and their participation on this project:

  • [ ] knowledge on how to get involve in the food process since early years.
  • [ ] The app is intended to recognise efforts and simplify distribution of organic food.
  • [ ] plant’s and student will grow emotionally.

Veggie beds are about to be implement in different schools around the World! Volunteers needs are: Recycled gardening tools. Organic waste from your trash. Ph testing soil in every School. Wood or pallets to build those beds. Recycled kitchen blenders and the most important part (YOU). Every action for #climatechange count, be part of the movement! get involve with community and every bed needs a set of this tools. Will you help me?
