Hello, I've been reading over the project, the open issues and pull requests. It seems like there is a lack of general upkeep/maintenance. Not even really the big stuff like API changes, but more the small stuff like one-liner pull requests that fix links #820, simple 1-character doc-comment changes: #826, outdated issues, duplicate issues, unreviewed PRs (even ones trying to add examples like #589), and probably countless more small easily-fixable low-risk issues that have piled up.
I have time to help with this sort of maintenance, how can I help? There is no CONTRIBUTING.md so I don't really know what the process should be in making PRs/doing reviews since I don't have any merge permissions. And making more pull requests seems counter-productive since there are already lots of pull requests open.
