today in the walkthrough one of the participants disappeared from the player list on the stage. she had been shown there for most of the session, then she disappeared from the list but was still on the stage, showing up in the chat with her player name.
this was the same player who was holding the avatar that behaved weirdly (#1432 ) and it may have happened at the same time - we only noticed it a bit later on.

I am not sure if this is true, but since something happened in two distinct parts of the code at once, it is possible that the person's JWT token expired, and they lost access to certain things. I know we are not cleanly handling state in the back end when this happens. We are working on improving this. In the interim, please ask people to log out and in again before a performance. The JWT token expires in 24 hours, and if you've been logged in from the day before, it may expire in the middle of a performance.
We're currently evaluating how state handling works overall, and we'll make this completely log someone out in the future. But for now please log out and in again, to reset the token expiry before a performance.
