The raw Xbox-360 controller reports correctly on Windows, but just reports 0s on Linux.

The same thing (no reports) happens on the mac. On the mac, the device flashes its ring when plugged in, but does not select a controller number (none of the LEDs around the ring remain lit). On Windows, the first one remains lit for the first controller. We get no feature reports on the mac, which is why nothing changes in the values.

There may be some useful info on this in one of the response posts on http://www.microchip.com/forums/m524525.aspx dealing with the channels used to communicate to the device. We may need to sent it a feature report to get it to start behaving.

@d235j Can you tell us whether we need to send it a feature report to set which controller it is acting as and thereby wake it up? Looks like this happens automatically on Windows but not on other OS.

The XBox 360 controller shows up as a JoyLin device on Ubuntu 20.04, so we can open it using the interface on Linux.
