I'd like to propose an enhancement that would allow any of the available operating systems to be selected as the ROM based OS.

This, combined with the MDFFENABLE would allow simpler designs to operate from the RAM/ROM disk alone without a CF or SD card as extended storage.

I will look into this as time permits. It will probably be a few weeks.

As discussed in https://groups.google.com/g/rc2014-z80/c/zBHh7snQDJs, there are a couple ways you can pursue this in the meantime. I think it would be a good idea to try this using those techniques. I am worried this is not going to work out as well as you hope in the end. CP/M 3 and ZPM3 are really not intended to be used this way.
